The Smithfield Rescue Mission exists to proclaim the love of Jesus for those who are homeless and in crisis by providing shelter, life necessities, and life-changing programs to break the cycle of poverty.

Get Involved with Helping our Community

We here at Southside want to partner with others who are ministering in Christ’s name to the needy in our community. Through Sunday November 19, we will collect nonperishable food and other items to help the ministry of Smithfield Rescue Mission. Below you can find a list of suggested donations.

Food Items
  • Canned Meat
  • Ramen Noodles/Oodles and Noodles
  • Macaroni & Cheese (Cups and boxes)
  • Canned Vegetables
  • Spaghetti Sauce & Pasta
  • Soups (All types: Chicken Noodle, Beef, Cream of Chicken & Mushroom)
  • Chef Boyardee (All Types)
  • Peanut Butter & Jelly
  • Kool Aid Packs
  • Coffee/Tea
  • Bottled Water
  • Cooking oil
  • Condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayo, etc.)

Non-food Items

  • Dish Soap

  • Food prep gloves

  • Cleaning gloves

  • Plastic wrap/aluminum foil

  • Plastic bags (sandwich, quart, & gallon sizes)

  • Hand sanitizer & soap

  • Cleaning supplies (bleach, all purpose cleaner, spray disinfectant)

  • Toilet paper & paper towels

  • 3 compartment foam plates

  • Plastic utensils

Please bring all donations to the baskets in the foyer by Sunday, November 19th.
