The mission of the Southside Youth Ministry is to bring glory to God through word, thought and deed. We strive to explain the gospel so that students understand and know how to respond in faith. We desire to see students mature in their faith and encourage this through a process of discipleship. Through the teaching of scripture, and prayer we wish to see students have a proper understanding of who God is, and what He desires for them. This understanding lends itself to being Holy as God is Holy and walking in obedience, with Jesus Christ as our ultimate example.
Southside student ministry is divided into two parts: middle school and senior high school. We seek to assist the parents in their responsibility to disciple young lives in the knowledge of and obedience to God’s Word and to nurture their love for the Lord and for others.
Our Student Ministry leadership hosts weekly Sunday morning Bible classes and Sunday evening youth group in The Haven. They also plan various structured activities that are educational, inspirational, and fun! The youth are also challenged and trained to be part of the ministry of to the whole church. This includes mission trips, local relief and outreach efforts, service within the church body, and corporate worship leadership.
